On May 16, 2024, a derecho struck the city of Houston and surrounding metropolitan area. The derecho was considered the worst damaging wind event to affect Houston in nearly 25 years. Extensive damage was done to
transmission lines leaving more than a million customers without power.Trinity Emergency mobilized a team of electricians and fleet of generators to assist in providing portable power.
